In The Moment: Overcoming
This is my most personal project, a very personal journey. It is about documenting feelings, moments, life stills.
It is also a documentation of photography's power for cathartic release. I will not elaborate too much but I went into this project neither trying to convey positive or negative stories, it is simply a timeline, a roll of film.
Click on the pictures to open up my interpretation of them.

Whilst not focusing solely on them, the pictures based on negative feelings or conflict are the most successful and interesting ones to come out of this body of work.
I suppose conflict is an integral part of storytelling and makes for more interesting interpretations.
Film photography was the basis of all photographs in this project, however, it included many other art forms such as digital photography, abstract painting, body art and origami.
It may seem silly, maybe even cringey, but this project is all about recording "in the moment".
I do also believe there is great strength in showing vulnerability and being honest in art.
